The SPEAR operating framework

No loose
ends.

Good fabrication is not one heroic moment at the workshop. It is a chain of small, visible decisions—each one checked, recorded and handed cleanly to the next.

How we operate

One brief.
One owner.

We bring estimating, materials, fabrication, finishing and inspection into one accountable workflow. You always know what has happened, what is next and who is responsible for moving it forward.

01

Enquiry
& estimation

We start by understanding the application, material, finish, tolerances, quantities and delivery constraints. The output is a clear scope with assumptions called out before costing begins.

  • Drawing and BOQ review
  • Feasibility and material recommendation
  • Scope, timeline and estimate

02

Material
inspection

Before material enters production, we verify what arrived against what was ordered. Grade, thickness, finish and traceability are treated as part of the job—not paperwork after it.

  • Grade and heat-number checks
  • Thickness, finish and quantity verification
  • Material records retained with the job

03

Marking
& form

Before a plate is cut or bent, the operator marks the approved dimensions directly onto the material. That physical reference keeps the drawing, the part and the next operation aligned.

  • Datums and cut lines marked on the plate
  • Hole centres and bend references checked
  • First-piece dimensions confirmed
04

Weld
& assemble

Assemblies come together against drawings, jigs and agreed weld details. The operator holds the joint, controls the torch and builds the weld in a deliberate sequence.

  • Fit-up and alignment checks
  • TIG / MIG process matched to the brief
  • Welds and handoffs checked as work progresses
05

Finish
& inspect

The final surface is part of the specification. We complete finishing, dimensional checks and visual inspection before packing—not after the truck is booked.

  • Surface preparation and finish control
  • Dimensional and visual inspection
  • Snag list closed before release

06

Pack
& dispatch

We protect the work as carefully as we made it. Parts are identified, packed for their route and released with the information needed for a smooth installation or handover.

  • Component identification and count
  • Protective packing for transport
  • Dispatch note and handover confirmation
READY

The result

Fewer surprises.
Better work.

Every step leaves a useful record for the next one. That is how a busy project stays calm, accountable and ready to deliver.
